Division's Research History
In 2006 the division of Mathematical Physics was formed by merging two divisions, the Mathematical Physics division at LTH and the Solid State Theory division at the Science Faculty. The research at the division today thus builds on a a long standing research tradition in a number of different fields. The largest areas of research during the last half century have been theory for the structure of the atomic nuclei and the theory for electronic structure of materials.
